By Pledge
A pledge is a verbal or written commitment to make a specified gift within the school's calendar year (ends June 30.) Pledges can be made by email, phone or US Mail.
Matching Gifts
Many businesses match charitable contributions made by their employees. Check with your human resources department to see if your gift can be matched.
Appreciated Stock
Gifts of stock are advantageous as the donor may deduct the full-market value on the date of the gift and and avoid capital gains tax. Call 508-428-5400 x213 for additional information.
Capital Giving
Capital gifts are given in support of specific, large-scale programs and projects identified by the Board of Trustees in support of the school's Long Range Plan. Typically, these gifts support new buildings, major renovations, and endowment drives. A capital campaign is "above and beyond" annual giving support for the operating budget. While public schools pay for buildings with state funds and municipal bonds, CCA must raise its construction dollars in the form of voluntary contributions.
Gift-in-Kind
Another way to support the school is through gifts-in-kind. These are tangible items that can be used either in the classroom, library, or administrative offices. Examples of gifts-in-kind are books for the library, laptop computers for the mobile computer lab, table and chairs for the faculty room. Gifts-in-kind which can be put to good use, are in good condition, and save the school from having to go out and purchase the item can really make a difference.
Deferred Gifts
Colleges have worked hard in this area of gifts by will or by trust. While CCA is a young school that has not devoted much energy to this kind of giving, it already has a small but growing group of constituents who have made known their plans to include the school in their wills and estate plans.
