Faculty Member Larry Brown Honored with Public Service Award

The Presbrey Award was created to honor HAC founder Rick Presbrey for his years of service to the Cape community; his public service, both as a professional and a volunteer, in advancing the well-being of Cape residents, primarily in the area of affordable housing; and the spiritual values that give meaning and purpose to all that he does. The award is given to people in the community who most exemplify the qualities and values that motivate Rick.

Although the award was recognizing Larry, he did not want to accept it without having student representation from Cape Cod Academy. “It’s all about the students and what they do to make this happen,” commented Larry. “Without them, I wouldn’t be recognized in this manner.” Attending this special event were current juniors Emily Brady and Katie Bailey. Both are actively involved in events to raise awareness about human needs locally and globally.

Congratulations to Larry, and his Cape Cod Academy students, who have done so much to help others!
