  • Creative Writing (Grades 2-5)

    Do you like to tell stories? Have you ever dreamed of becoming a famous author or publishing your own book? Then now is your chance! Join Ms. Mayer for a       workshop-based creative writing class. Students will learn the process of writing, editing, illustrating, and "publishing" their  projects and have the opportunity to compose a variety of written pieces. From concrete poetry to short stories toautobiographical compositions, students will expand their literary  vocabulary, refine their writing skills, and collaborate with peers in a fun, creative, and      enriching environment. Grab a pencil and notebook and join us.  This class is great for new and returning creative writers!                                                                                    
    Class Details: Tuesdays, March 31st– May 12th, 6 sessions, 3:00-4:00 PM for $125              
    No Class Held on the Following Date: April 21st                    Make-Up Date (if needed): May 19th                                    
    Enrollment Limits: 4 students are required to run the class and enrollment closes at 12
  • Eats and Treats ( Grades K-2)

    Eats and Treats returns to the CCA Wool Shop for beginner baking classes. Headed by Ms. Mongeau, students will learn kitchen vocabulary, ingredient measurements, and a little chemistry. Our youngest chefs will be introduced to the kitchen along with some fun and creative tools.
     
    Class Details: Thursdays, April 2nd - May 14th, 5 sessions, 2:45-4:00 PM for $120
     
    No Class Held on the Following Dates: April 16th and 23rd
    Make-Up Date (if needed): May 21st
     
    Enrollment Limits: 3 students are required to run the class and enrollment closes at 8
  • Frisbee Golf (Grades 2-5)

    Join middle and upper school science teacher, Ms. Wood, for some springtime outdoor fun! Students will practice techniques of disc throwing with differently weighted frisbees, and explore CCA's campus while learning the game of Frisbee Golf! The class will also consist of 2 or 3 off-campus excursions to local Frisbee golf courses as well. (There is one not far away in Marston's Mills and one near the Community College  campus). Please have students bring appropriate outdoor  weather gear as the early dates could be muddy or chilly. 
     
    Class Details: Wednesdays, April 8th - May 6th, 4 sessions, 3:00-4:15 PM for $120
     
    No Class Held on the Following Date: April 22nd
    Make-Up Date (if needed): May 13th
     
    Enrollment Limits: 4 students are required to run the class and enrollment closes  at 11
