As I reported last week, Cape Cod Academy will launch a distance learning program that will begin tomorrow. To be clear, school is still in session. Details of the program are below this letter and attached, along with instructions on how to log onto our website for students and parents. No doubt, there will be questions along the way, but our staff and teachers are available to help to make this new learning program as seamless as possible.
Our faculty and staff met today to make final preparations for distance learning. I commend the teachers and deans for their foresight, hard work, and preparation to create a dynamic program that allows our students to continue their normal work during abnormal times.
We understand we need to protect our students through social distancing, and we take our governor’s directions very seriously. I am pleased we had a plan in place that allows us to further our students’ education during this time, and we appreciate your support in helping the children to succeed as they begin this new learning process at home.
We expect all students to participate daily in our distance learning program. If your child is sick and cannot complete the daily assignments, a parent or guardian should contact the school to inform the staff. Please send an email to email@example.com
The COVID-19 situation is changing daily. I will continue to update you on new developments that affect our school community. You can also visit our dedicated webpage by clicking on COVID-19 at the top of our website. Just as we are prepared to execute a program for our students during this school closure, we will be ready with a plan to welcome everyone back to campus when the time is right.
