Cape Cod Academy Students Create ‘Kindness Rocks”

Students in kindergarten through grade 5 at Cape Cod Academy recently collaborated with Megan Murphy, founder of the Kindness Rocks Project, for an enduring art project. A business mentor, kindness activist, and women’s empowerment coach, Megan shared the curriculum for her Kindness Rocks Project, a pay-it-forward service project she created in hopes of sparking joy in people’s everyday lives.
Following the hallmarks of Megan’s project and under the direction of CCA art teacher, Jamin Eldredge, the CCA students incorporated their special sentiments of hope and kindness onto Kindness Rocks cards that were decorated and laminated. These ornaments were hung on a pine tree now on display at 864 Main Street, Osterville, a part of Osterville’s 49th Annual Christmas Open House and Stroll. Grade 5 students painted Kindness Rocks and shared them with the CCA community. See video of Megan discussing the CCA project here.
Cape Cod Academy is one of the only independent, co-educational, college preparatory schools serving students from kindergarten to grade 12 on Cape Cod.
