As you may know, Head of School Tom Trigg gave his resignation to the CCA Board of Trustees in May. His resignation was accepted by the board, and we have been actively working on an interim plan for the school’s leadership.
The board has determined the best course of action is to bring on an interim Head of School as we work on a long-term strategy and permanent hire. We are pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Chad Small as Interim Head of School. Dr. Small comes to CCA with more than 30 years as both Head of School at Rumson Country Day School in New Jersey and several interim Head positions, as well. He and his wife, Susan, live in East Orleans and have strong roots on the Cape.
Dr. Small has begun to meet with administration and will be on campus full time beginning July 1st. He will be meeting with staff and faculty over the summer to gather knowledge and information from the CCA school community. The Advancement department is planning an event before the start of next school year to introduce Dr. Small to the CCA community. More details will be forthcoming from the Advancement department later this summer.
We are excited about this next step for CCA. We wish you all a happy and restful summer and look forward to seeing faculty, staff and students next September.
Chair, CCA Board of Trustees
