Merit Scholarship Exam

Cape Cod Academy’s Merit Scholarships will be awarded to five prospective students in grades 6-10 who, through our exam and admissions application process, demonstrate academic excellence and strength in our core values: scholarship, honesty, respect, and compassion. Merit Scholars will receive $15,000 in merit scholarship funds, awarded without regard to a student’s financial status, each year until graduation. In addition, qualified families may also apply for financial aid in addition to the Merit Scholarship award.

Our February 4th Merit Scholarship Exam will take place at Cape Cod Academy at 8:45am.  Students should arrive no later than 8:30am. The exam will take place from 8:45am-9:45am. During the exam there will be a parent information session and campus tours followed by an Open House at 10:00am.

To take the Merit Scholarship Exam, students must be applying to grades 6-10 and complete steps 1 and 2 by February 3, 2017.

1. Fill out the Merit Scholarship Exam Registration form.

2. Submit an admissions online application  (this must be submitted by Feb 3, 2017).
 
To complete the admissions application process steps 3-5 must be completed by March 3, 2017:

3. Download and submit The One Form  which allows CCA to contact your child’s current school to
request transcripts and teacher recommendations.

4. Take the the SSAT test (grades 7-10).  Our SSAT school code
is 2074.

5. Spend a day at Cape Cod Academy shadowing a current student (call the school Admissions Office 508-428-5400 to schedule).
 
Students will be notified regarding the results just after February 10, 2017. Please let us know if you have questions.

• Families may still apply for financial aid even if their child is awarded this scholarship.
• International students (I-20) are not eligible.
