How to Apply

The Process

ALL GRADES:

An application, school records, an interview, teacher recommendations and a school visit are all required parts of the admissions process. The Application Procedures Checklist is a useful reminder of these steps.

For applicants in Grades 7-12, the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) is required. The SSAT is held monthly at numerous locations, including Cape Cod Academy, beginning in October.

A completed application and current school records are required prior to a scheduling a school visit.

LOWER SCHOOL VISITS (K-5):

Early Childhood, Grades K-1:  Applicants are invited to spend the morning in classroom. Early childhood screenings may be accommodated at this time or during designated Early Childhood Screening Weeks.

Grades 2-5: Applicants are invited to spend a half day or a whole day shadowing with a current student. Students will spend time in the classroom and have a chance to chat with the Director of Lower School Admissions. As time allows, reading, writing and math assessments may be accommodated at this time or during designated Lower School Screening Weeks.

MIDDLE AND UPPER SCHOOL VISITS (6-12):

Applicants are invited to spend a half day or a whole day shadowing with a current student. Applicants typically attend classes in tne grade to which they are applying, and can join in classes, extracurriculars and athletics practices, if desired.
