International Program

Students from around the world enrich every facet of life at CCA.

As an independent day school, Cape Cod Academy is able to offer enrollment to international students through a host family program in conjunction with international services agencies based in Boston.  If you are interested in attending Cape Cod Academy, please contact admissions@capecodacademy.org to begin the process.

Cape Cod Academy offers two types of opportunities: a year-long exchange for students who wish to share an American independent school experience but intend to return to their home country for continued education; or, full matriculation into the CCA program with the intent of receiving a Cape Cod Academy diploma. Standards for acceptance may vary slightly due to the nature of our degree-granting requirements.

Cape Cod Academy has a vibrant International Student Program.

Over the past few years, students from China, Germany, Haiti, Japan, Lebanon, Spain, Iceland, and Russia have been part of our Cape Cod Academy community. Students live with host families and participate fully in the life of the school, supported by our International Program Coordinator.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING PROGRAM
As part of our Personalized Approach to Learning (PAL) Program, Cape Cod Academy supports English language learning (ELL) students to improve fluency in the English language. International students take English language support classes at the intermediate or advanced level, depending on their placement test results and individual needs. In addition, ELL students are enrolled in a full-time college preparatory academic schedule, which normally includes five classes from our science, math, and humanities offerings. Depending on their ability and prior learning, students may also take French or Spanish. The goal of the program is to support students in their mainstream classes while increasing fluency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in English. We also teach executive functioning skills, including time management, organization, test preparation, and study skills. There is an additional cost to enroll in this program.
