Director of Admissions/Enrollment Management

Cape Cod Academy is a prestigious K-12 private school located in the beautiful and historic village of Osterville, Massachusetts.
Cape Cod Academy seeks a year-round, full-time position for an experienced Director of Admissions/Enrollment Management professional. Responsibilities include all aspects of the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of new students.  Ability to coordinate admission events, meet with prospective families, maintain enrollment database (Blackbaud), and provide monthly reporting to the Head of School and Trustees.

The Director of Admissions/Enrollment Management will:
  • Support the mission of the school.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
  • Manage and participate in touring and interviewing prospective families.
  • Direct the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment.
  • Share with Head of School monthly statistical reports that reflect an understanding of admission, marketing and strategy, and report to Board of Trustees as directed by the Head of School; assesses feedback of applicant families on a regular basis. 
  • Collaborate with constituencies to design an inclusive admission process and create assessment tools. 
  • Serve as a member of the Administrative team.
  • Serve as the lead member of the Financial Aid Committee and manage/participate in the administration of all financial aid and scholarship programs.
  • Serve as a member of the Admissions Committee and lead the meetings. 
  • Coordinate/administer all admissions testing.
  • Coordinate all re-enrollment activity with constant monitoring of attrition and retention.
  • Collaborate and develop policies with appropriate stakeholders regarding enrollment trends and goals, including attrition and retention. 
  • Build and maintain a calendar of events for the year and oversee registration and preparation for admissions events. 
  • Meet with family volunteers to oversee events. 
  • Interface with all faculty, staff, administrators, trustees, and family volunteers regarding the admission office and other school-wide activities. 
  • Manage departmental budget. 
  • Oversee all admission communication. 
  • Oversee admission staff.
  • Coordinate and participate in all recruitment efforts: advertising, direct mail, Internet web page, etc.
  • Coordinate and participate in special events involving prospective students. 
  • Promote good relationships with outside institutions or groups (schools, libraries, civic associations, nursery schools, real estate agencies, etc.) that can be helpful in attracting quality students.
  • Work with members of the administration and faculty to organize specific retention efforts at the key grade levels.
  • The Admissions Department will work very closely with the Advancement Office to plan and implement internal and external marketing strategies for the school. With this partnership with Advancement, the Director of Admissions/Enrollment Management will develop systems to chart the effectiveness of strategies.
  • Main liaison with third party, international education services agency to recruit and work with families as they seek admission to the school.
  • Prepare a strategic admissions campaign to attract prospective international students while working closely with the International Coordinator.
 
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years independent school admissions experience required 
  • A minimum of one year experience as a Director of Admissions/Enrollment Management position preferred.
  • Experience with Blackbaud Products primarily OnBoard (enrollment management system) is preferred. 
  • Working knowledgeable of immigration regulations and SEVIS is preferred.
