JOIN OUR SUPPORTERS AND GIVE TO THE ANNUAL FUND

What is the Cape Cod Academy Annual Fund?
The Cape Cod Academy Annual Fund provides unrestricted resources to support academics, athletics, and the arts, recruitment and development of Cape Cod Academy faculty, and the maintenance of our facilities. Your generosity to the Annual Fund subsidizes every part of the Cape Cod Academy experience, and every child is an important beneficiary.

Why your gift counts?
Tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating a child at Cape Cod Academy. Philanthropic support ensures that Cape Cod Academy has the resources during the fiscal year to support the operating budget and mitigate the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating a student. Our school, like all independent schools, relies on the generosity of trustees, alumni, parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, and friends to meet its financial goals each year.

Why is your participation in the Annual Fund important?
Parent, alumni, grandparent, and community philanthropy and commitment have been, and always will be, critical to the school’s success. High Annual Fund participation is a key vital sign of school strength and a strong community. High participation rates ensure continued growth and stability for future and current students.

When should I make a gift?
Your support is appreciated any time throughout the fiscal year (which runs July 1 through June 30). Gifts in the first quarter of the fiscal year are particularly helpful. For your information, below is the upcoming appeal calendar.
  • Fall Annual Fund appeal, October 2023
  • Giving Tuesday, November 28, 2024
  • End-of-calendar year, December 31, 2023
  • Cape Cod Academy's Annual Day of Giving, February 22, 2024
  • Annual Spring Gala and Fundraiser, May 2024
  • End-of-fiscal year appeal, before June 30, 2024
How much should I give?
Every gift is impactful to the school! We ask that your gift amount be one that is meaningful to you and your family. We invite current families, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, and friends to make Cape Cod Academy their top philanthropic priority. In recent years, gifts to the Annual Fund have ranged from $5 to $50,000. We are grateful for gifts of any amount.

The Goal: This year, our Annual Fund goal is $550,000 with an overall participation goal of 100%

Matching Gifts
Many corporations offer programs that match gifts to schools and other not-for-profit institutions. Check with your employer to see if your company participates, and if so, you could match (or double) your charitable contribution to CCA.

If you have any questions regarding your contribution or are interested in joining other volunteers in raising support for the 2022-2023 Annual Fund, please contact Hellie Swartwood, Director of Advancement, at hswartwood@capecodacademy.org.

Why We Give

Cape Cod Academy had a welcoming and nurturing environment that was markedly different from my prior schools. The student body was equally impressive and most of my closest friends are ones I made at CCA. Suffice it to say, CCA means a lot to me and holds a special place in my heart.

I would not be sitting here writing about how much Cape Cod Academy means to me if not for the generosity of others. Without financial aid, I would not have attended CCA. The decision to send a child to CCA is an intentional choice to provide students with the best learning environment on Cape Cod.

I give because: 1) I want CCA to continue to provide the best learning environment on the Cape; and 2) There are parents just like mine that want to make the intentional choice to send their child to CCA, but need a little help to make that happen.

We love what Cape Cod Academy has done for our daughter. Everything about the school is in tune with what we were looking for. The Annual Fund provides the school with the resources it needs to thrive, and we are happy to invest in the mission of the school by supporting it."
