Children under five years old will begin in Parent/Grandparent- Infant-Toddler Swim Lesson
Ages 3-5 will have free assessment to determine which level class to join. (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced)
Kindergarten - Grade School:
Kindergarteners are comfortable in water, learning floats on front and back, beginning stroke development of freestyle, backstroke, and progressing to side breathing. Safety treading water and swimming the length of the pool will be taught.
Grade school children will work on breath control, side breathing, body position, streamlining, straight are windmills, rolling from back to stomach, sitting dives, and further stroke progression. Swim assessments will help decide level of swimming skills. As they progress, students will be introduced to alternate breathing, somersaults, flip turns, and they will complete multiple lengths of the pool with flip turns.
Older swimmers will continue to hone their skills in each of the four strokes and diving. They will continue to work with the pace clock, reading workouts, improving all four competitive strokes, diving, starts, and turns. After these lessons, competitive swim team or Fitness Swimming is recommended.
Wellness for Teens and Adults:
1. Student Fitness Swim - Mon & Wed. 3-Week Session - 12:00-12:45 p.m.
2. Adult Swimmercise - Mon & Wed. 3-Week Session - 8:00-8:45 a.m.
3. Teen & Adult Lap Swim - Tues. & Th. 3-Week Session - 8:00-8:45 a.m.
4. Teen & Adult Swimmercise - Tues. & Th. 3-Week Session - 12:00-12:45 p.m.
