The Learning Centers
Cape Cod Academy is equipped with a dedicated Learning Center for grades 5-12, in addition to a dedicated Learning Center for lower school students. The Learning Centers offer students a place to obtain assistance with executive functioning, content area tutoring, small group or collaborative work, and enrichment opportunities. They also provide a quiet space for learning or testing, and a place for students to take a break from the classroom if necessary.
If additional tutoring is needed beyond the Learning Center, one of our Learning Specialists - Mary Gail Wareham (Lower School) and Amy Powers (Middle and Upper School) - can provide a referral to one of our on-site tutoring services. Tutoring can be arranged during the school day if the tutor is available during a student’s study hall or other open period. If not, tutoring can still take place on site after school. Please contact the Learning Specialists with questions or concerns related to learning differences, accommodations, services, enrichment, testing, and/or tutoring needs.

- Tutoring for Academic Support
Cape Cod Academy is pleased to offer tutoring for students with learning differences or simply for children who need extra academic assistance. Tutoring is available in many different subjects including reading, writing, math, and science. Taught by highly qualified, trained CCA teachers, these programs are tailored for students entering kindergarten through grade 12 and are open to all students regardless if they attend CCA or another school.
Tutoring takes place in large, open classrooms, or when possible, outdoors. Our tutors wear masks and practice social distancing as appropriate. Our classrooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. We are also offering remote tutoring as an option.
