Our Learning Centers
Cape Cod Academy is equipped with a dedicated Learning Center for grades 5-12, in addition to a dedicated Learning Center for lower school students. The Learning Centers offer students a place to obtain assistance with executive functioning, content area tutoring, small group or collaborative work, and enrichment opportunities. They also provide a quiet space for learning or testing and a place for students to take a break from the classroom if necessary. Get one-on-one attention from award-winning instructors, certified Orton-Gillingham professionals, and one-of-a-kind tutors.
If any additional tutoring is needed, one of our learning specialists - Mary Gail Wareham (Lower School) and Amy Powers (Middle and Upper School) - can provide a referral to one of our on-site tutoring services. We have several independent contractors that have worked for the school in the past, as well as Solutions Learning Center, which is now located on site. The tutoring can be arranged during the school day if the tutor is available during a student's study hall or other open period. One of the Learning Specialists will set this up if the schedule allows. If not, the tutoring can still take place on site after school. Please contact the learning specialists with questions or concerns related to learning differences, accomodations, services, enrichment, testing, and/or tutoring needs.
