Our Lower School science teacher, June Chamberlain Auger, participates in the Journey North program; for the past eleven years, she and her students have planted tulips and logged data as part of the Tulip Test Garden. This program tracks the changes in season and climate around the world. “In this international science experiment, students in schoolyards across the northern hemisphere plant tulip bulbs in their Journey North Test Gardens each fall. When the plants emerge and bloom, children announce that spring has arrived in their part of the world.” Cape Cod Academy's data is currently featured on the Tulip Test Gardens Journey North website.
Congratulations to Mrs. Auger and our Lower School scientists!
