The 2022 Cape Cod Academy Summer Programs are sanctioned by the Department of Public Health, Town of Barnstable. Our team of experienced summer instructors look forward to offering high energy, educational, and fun activities for all ages.

  • Red Sky Sports Academy


    Cape Cod Academy is pleased to continue its partnership with Red Sky Sports Academy for the summer of 2022. Red Sky Sports Academy, a premier multi-sport day camp on Cape Cod, offers a variety of sports, including soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, baseball, tennis, street hockey, and flag football. Every sport is tailored to each individual's ability, from beginner to future star!
     
    The Red Sky staff is comprised of professional athletes, high school coaches, as well as college and high school athletes. While all staff members are highly proficient in their sports, they understand that each camper comes with his/her own set of abilities. Red Sky Sports Academy uses challenging and attainable athletic goals to foster the love of sport and teach campers how to make good choices both on and off the playing field.

  • Revolution Field Hockey Camp


    Revolution Field Hockey, a USA Field Hockey Partner Camp, is super excited to be returning to Cape Cod for the 11th summer to host the best vacation field hockey camp. The sport is exploding on the cape and kids are finding opportunities to play year-round.

  • Steel Soccer

     
    Join us this summer at Cape Cod Academy for Steel Soccer training camps. Our mission is to inspire youth to reach their potential, on and off the field, by developing them as athletes and people through the Steel Sports Coaching System.

  • Liverpool International Academy Soccer

    Learn how to train and play 'The Liverpool Way' this summer at the Nike Soccer Camp at Liverpool FC International Academy. The camp will be held at Cape Cod Academy. Liverpool Football Club prides itself on creating the best environment for the development of young players, both as athletes and as people. Team spirit, hard work, determination and the ability to overcome any obstacles in life and above all play with dignity and fair play.

    These camps offer a unique opportunity for aspiring soccer players aged 7-14, to train with a world-renowned club and to experience firsthand the LFC training philosophy in a FUN and engaging camp setting! Throughout the week, campers learn new skills, perfect techniques, increase game knowledge, make new friends, and have fun playing soccer!

    INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY
    • Ratio: Low camper-to-coach ratio
    • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
    • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle. A further list of 'recommended items' will be in the Information Packet.
    • Facility: 50 Osterville West Barnstable Rd, Osterville, MA 02655
    • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital
    INFORMATION PACKET
    A detailed camper information packet containing check-in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the spring. Our health and release forms do NOT require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.

    SOCCER BALLS
    Nike Soccer Balls can be purchased during registration for $20. Players can choose between a size 4 or size 5 ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a soccer ball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

    TRANSPORTATION
    Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

    TEAM DISCOUNT
    If you have a group of eight or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during check out. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
  • GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp


    GameBreaker returns to Cape Cod for our tenth year. Located in Osterville, MA the Cape Cod Academy lacrosse clinic has become a summer tradition.  Join us for great instruction while you're on vacation! 

    This camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-16 with a half-day option from 9-12 daily for ages 6-9.  Campers will learn individual stick skills, positional play, team concepts, and will scrimmage daily.  We also hold many fun contests during the week for great prizes.  Join us for an unforgettable week of lacrosse and fun!

Swim Programs

  • Group Swim Lessons


    Join us this summer at Cape Cod Academy for a variety of swim programs for all ages! Dates are being added for the entire summer so check back to view a full list of dates.

    Beginners:
    Children under five years old will begin in Parent/Grandparent- Infant-Toddler Swim Lesson
     
    Preschool:
    Ages 3-5 will have free assessment to determine which level class to join. (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced)
     
    Kindergarten - Grade School:
    Kindergarteners are comfortable in water, learning floats on front and back, beginning stroke development of freestyle, backstroke, and progressing to side breathing. Safety treading water and swimming the length of the pool will be taught.

    Grade school children will work on breath control, side breathing, body position, streamlining, straight are windmills, rolling from back to stomach, sitting dives, and further stroke progression.  Swim assessments will help decide level of swimming skills. As they progress, students will be introduced to alternate breathing, somersaults, flip turns, and they will complete multiple lengths of the pool with flip turns. 
     
  • Swimmercise

    REGISTRATION IS COMING SOON
     
    Swimmercise is a great combination of lap swimming, stroke improvement, endurance, and interval exercises, including walking, jogging, bicycling, and muscle conditioning.  
       
                                               
    Student Fitness Swim:  Ages 13-18
    After Learn to Swim, students may progress to Fitness Swim which is a combination of continual lap swimming, stroke refinement, endurance swimming and competitive Swim skill development.     
  • Private & Semi-Private Swim Lessons

     
    Private, semi-private, and small group or family swim lessons are available to schedule upon request beginning April 1, 2022.  Private lessons will be focused on beginner to advanced stokes and skills for those who want to learn at any age. To arrange for private, semi-private, or small group lessons, please email Erin Flynn at swimming@capecodacademy.org.
  • Free Swim and Family Swim

    Family Swim is offered at a drop-in rate of $10 per person / $20 per family one day a week to be determined. Check back in spring 2022.
  • Lap Swimming

    Supervised Lap Swimming Class: This supervised class will assist current lap swimmers in improving strokes, strength, and endurance to continue lap swimming with little rest. Great cardio-vascular improvement which will assist in all other sports, activities, and health. 

    Individual Lap Swimming: Designated lap swimming times are available. Please click on the Register Here link above to sign up. 

    Open Lap Swimming for Teens and Adults: Season passes or sets of 10 sessions are available. Or you can drop in at a rate $10 per swim. Session usage will be tracked at the pool.  There is a limit of two people per lane at any time. Please email Erin Flynn at swimming@capecodacademy.org for the summer 2022 schedule.

    Lap Lane Rental: For lap swimming or family swim. There will be various options for reserving lap lanes during open pool hours. Please contact Erin Flynn at Swimming@capecodacademy.org. A one-hour lap lane rental is $60.00. Due to the CDC's COVID-19 regulations, capacity may change at any time.

  • Pool Rental

    Cape Cod Academy's L-shaped, three 25-yd. lap lane pool with shallow end will be available for two-hour rentals on weekends. Other options may also be available. The rental of the whole pool includes lifeguard, private pool for 1-10 people, and trash removal. The two-hour pool rental is $300.00 plus $50.00 security deposit.   • Adult Swim Lessons

  • Yoga & Meditation through Painting (Ages 3-7)

    This four-day a week, yoga-art integrated workshop will be held outdoors. Classes will move indoors in inclement weather. 
    Each student will immerse themselves in the basics of yoga, starting with an activating Yin/Flow series and ending with a lesson in Yin. (Yoga focusing on strength, flexibility, mindfulness/meditation, and deep stretch.) Then children will focus on expression through color. They will touch base with their current emotions or state of mind by choosing color combinations of paint that can help define their current moods. They will listen to meditation sounds while applying acrylic paint onto stretched canvas. Each student will have a new lesson and a fresh canvas each day. Every child will end the four-day workshop with three finished canvas paintings depicting their progress. All classes will end with a Yin Yoga-based, cool-down series and finish in "Shavasana" (our final resting pose, eyes closed laying on our backs on our mats, while absorbing a soft meditative sound healing). Students should dress in comfortable clothing and bring a healthy snack. Yoga mat or towels optional.

    The Arts & Crafts Camp Program provides a unique opportunity for kids to grow, explore, imagine, and expand their love of arts and crafts. Drop-offs begin between 8:45 and 9:00 am. each day. Enjoying weekly themes, students will have multiple opportunities to explore hands-on projects that allow for experimentation with a variety of concepts, techniques, and supplies. Students will spend time together in the large art room or outside in the outdoor studio. There will be time for outdoor play each day.

    Week One - July 5-8, 2022
    Arts and Nature. During this week, campers will explore Cape Cod Academy’s 46-acre campus, looking for natural objects to incorporate into many creative art projects. They will integrate their findings into leaf printing, embellishing stones, animal sculptures, clay impressions, observational drawings, sun prints, organic three-dimensional pictures, nature dioramas, and landscape painting. They will also plant beautiful flowers to enjoy all summer.  

    Week Two - July 11-14, 2022
    Fun with Clay. This session will be filled with fun projects that teach students how to create art using the three hand-building techniques of pinching, coiling, and slab-building. Students will create many projects, both suggested and self-chosen. This camp is a great way for campers to be introduced to one of the oldest crafts in the world and understand the multiple steps it takes to finish a clay masterpiece. This upbeat and hands-on camp is great for all students-- beginners and advanced craftsmen.
     
    Week Three - July 18-21, 2022
    Paper as an Artistic Medium. During this session, students will sculpt with paper, stich on paper, make paper, and carve and build with paper. They will make books, rolled beads, cards, prints, mobiles, and so much more. This camp has so much to offer for all levels of creators. 
     
    Week Four - July 25-28, 2022
    Printmaking in all Forms. During this week, students will be explore many different printmaking techniques, such as foil, stamp, and foam prints, marker transfer prints, black-and-white line prints, mono prints, more! This session will be filled with surprises and beautiful pieces of art!

  • Books and Bites (Ages 5-9)


    Books will come alive in this fun, engaging class for students. We will share a different interactive read-aloud each day, create a fun craft, and make delicious snacks that correspond to the book we are sharing. For example, we will read Diary of a Worm and make some “dirt” pudding with gummy worms. Each day, your child will come home with a craft and snack which makes the selected book come alive. We will also enjoy games and fun activities. Please list any food allergies when you register your child.  Materials are included as part of the course fee.

    Ever wanted to build your own games or apps? Love Roblox or Minecraft? Well, this is the camp for you! Students will learn the skills of a game maker through conceiving, designing, and creating their own mobile app games. The resulting games can be shared online and texted to friends for them to play on their phones. It’s a great way to combine learning with fun while becoming a game developer. You don’t need any previous experience or special software to take this: all you need is your creativity, and a computer or laptop is required.
     
  • Coding Camp (Ages 7-12)

    Have you ever wanted to make your own website and app? In this hands-on coding and tech club, students will learn the skills of a coder and the mindset of an entrepreneur through building apps - their own app and also an app for local nonprofits. Campers will build apps and games and work on real iOS apps. Students in previous classes have built apps for homeless shelters, veterinarians, and local climate nonprofits. Computers or tablets required.
  • College Essay Writing Workshop

     
    Cape Cod Academy will offer a dedicated summer session to prepare rising high school seniors with their college admissions essays. One-week workshops are being offered in person at Cape Cod Academy during the week of July 11-15, 2022. Students can choose to attend a morning session from 10:00 am. – 12:00 p.m. or an evening session from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Each session is $750 per week. Students need to bring their own laptops.

    Students will brainstorm, outline, draft, and revise their college essays in one-on-one sessions with an instructor and group settings. This workshop is tailored to students who are just beginning their essay process and also for students who have completed a draft essay but seek improvement and feedback to ensure their essay is admission-ready.
     
    Experienced education consultants, Suzanne Greenwald and Sarah Feldman of Crossroads College and Career Consulting, will lead the workshops, providing guidance and coaching from topic selection to final draft. Interested students can register to attend by clicking here.
  • Cooking Around the World Camp (Ages 5-12)

    Do you love to cook? Do you want more recipes? In this cooking camp for young students, campers learn all about food, how to make it safely, and how to use it for good health. Children will learn about food safety, meet new friends, and cook some (oven-less) recipes from all six inhabited continents. Everything campers cook will be easy to make and suitable for after-school cooking, including “easy pizza”, Japanese Onigiri (Rice Balls), and other finger foods from Africa, Asia, and South America. They will also play fun cooking games, learn about math through the process of measurement, and donate food to local charities. At the end of camp, they will have a whole recipe book to take home. (Please inform instructor of child’s food sensitivities.)
  • Real-World Graphic Design Camp (Ages 6-12)

    Interested in drawing, art, or design? This program gives you the opportunity to learn how to use your doodling skills by carrying out design projects for local nonprofits or small businesses. You will learn how to make professional posters and art, and you will design posters and ads for real organizations with good causes. Our students' work has been used in ads and on Instagram posts by the Special Olympics, Martha's Kitchen, and local shelters. Computer or tablet is required.
  • Young Reporters (Ages 8-12)


    Calling all aspiring writers: Do you want to learn how to write a feature story? Create hooks that reel your reader in? Practice the art of the interview with others in the class and a special guest? Create a group mini-magazine or newspaper for the end of the week? Then join us for this special program. Various writing genres will be shared, introduced, and celebrated.

  • Youth Leadership Academy (Ages 8-12)

     
    In this exciting week, students will have the opportunity to participate in leadership games and service projects.
    • Assemble birthday boxes for kids in homeless shelters.  
    • Meet a leader who has overcome adversity and now follows his dreams. 
    • Encounter a service dog and learn how he helps kids and adults.
    • Create wish calendars for kids fulfilling a wish and learn all about the incredible organization, Make-A-Wish.  
    This course will be a mix of immersing students in service learning and projects, fun games, and meeting individuals from various important organizations.  Grow into the leader you are meant to be while having fun!

  • Science by the Sea (Grades 2-7)

    Cape Cod Academy’s Science by the Sea Camp is an ideal way for students in grades 2-7 on Cape Cod to explore their enthusiasm for the natural environment that locally abounds. Whether campers have been exploring these waters for years or are new to the Cape environment, this program will introduce them to the scientific aspects of salt marshes, tidal flow, sandy beaches, and rocky shorelines that are unique to Cape Cod. Our young biologists will be engaged with creative, active, and hands-on projects that keep their bodies and minds active both in the field and in the science laboratory on CCA’s beautiful campus. Each week, campers will be transported via the school's van to local waterways for hands-on learning. This program will be led by Abby Wood, our resident Marine Biologist and Chair of the Science Department. Submerge yourself in coastal exploration this summer!

    Get one-on-one attention from award-winning instructors, certified Orton-Gillingham professionals, and one-of-a-kind tutors.

    Cape Cod Academy's summer tutoring programs include:
    • Orton-Gillingham (OG) Approach-Based Tutoring
    • Tutoring for Academic Support and SAT/ACT Prep.
    Tutoring is available in many different subjects, including reading, writing, math, and science. Taught by highly qualified, trained CCA teachers, these programs are tailored for students entering kindergarten through grade 12 and are open to all students regardless if they attend CCA or another school.
