Because paper mâché requires drying time, students will work on multiple projects simultaneously, allowing for creativity and efficiency throughout the course.

Students will learn about geocaching, a real-world, outdoor adventure that is happening all the time, all around the world. To play, participants use the Geocaching app and/or a GPS device to navigate to cleverly hidden containers called geocaches. There are millions of geocaches in 190 countries waiting to be discovered—there are probably even some near you right now. Students do not need any device to access the GPS; the group leader will have this. In this program, students will learn what geocaching is, go off campus to find different geocaches in Barnstable, and even set up their own treasure hunts on Cape Cod Academy’s campus.

    Instructor: Cam Gardener
A member of Cape Cod Academy’s world languages faculty, Cam Gardner has been teaching at CCA for five years. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and outdoor adventures. He is really looking forward to sharing geocaching with our campers.
