The 2024 Cape Cod Academy Summer Programs are sanctioned by the Department of Public Health, Town of Barnstable. Our team of experienced summer instructors looks forward to offering high-energy, educational, and fun activities for all ages.

  • AC Independence Soccer (Ages 5-13)


    AC Independence is partnering with Cape Cod Academy to offer an action-packed summer soccer experience! Our soccer camps offer a dynamic blend of skill-building, exercise, friendly competition, and team camaraderie. Led by experienced coaches, players of all levels will enhance their technique, tactical understanding, and overall passion for the game.  Whether a beginner looking to learn the basics or a seasoned player aiming to refine your skill, our camps provide a fun and supportive environment to thrive. Come kick-off your soccer with us and take your game to the next level.

  • Scoops Lacrosse (Ages 3-8)


    Open to boys and girls ages three to eight years old, Scoops Summer Lax Clinic is a super fun and incredibly lawcrawsome experience aimed at enhancing each child’s overall lacrosse development. At Scoops, the goal is simple: inspire the next generation of laxers to be happy, healthy, and confident both on and off the field.
     
    We have a ridiculously fun, action-packed agenda plan that includes a curriculum filled with games and learning designed for maximum amounts of fun. Each Scooper will receive instruction by our amazing, expert, co-ed Scoop Squad. Each camper will receive an award-winning Scoops Summer T-Shirt and many opportunities to win prizes during daily competition – including sticks, Scoops gear, and other fun prizes.
     
    At Scoops Summer Lax Clinic, everyone will leave a winner, because everyone will leave with more confidence, skills, memories, and so many more smiles.

  • Social Sports Camp (Ages 5-10)


    Social Sports Camp offers kids an opportunity to learn skills and practice how to navigate the unstructured and competitive moments that come up before, during, and after the school day. Campers will play many of the games that occur during recess and physical education while immediately learning and applying strategies to improve their ability to participate in these
    games. We will also spend time helping campers engage in activities during ‘free time’ as initiating and sustaining play and conversations during unstructured time can be difficult. Instructor Dominique Baudry, MS., Ed brings over 30 years of experience and expertise teaching and leading social learning groups across multiple age groups.

  • Red Sky Sports Academy (Ages 5-13)


    Cape Cod Academy is pleased to continue its partnership with Red Sky Sports Academy for the summer of 2024. Red Sky Sports Academy, a premier multi-sport day camp on Cape Cod, offers a variety of sports, including soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, baseball, tennis, street hockey, and flag football. Every sport is tailored to each individual's ability, from beginner to future star!
     
    The Red Sky staff is comprised of professional athletes, high school coaches, as well as college and high school athletes. While all staff members are highly proficient in their sports, they understand that each camper comes with his/her own set of abilities. Red Sky Sports Academy uses challenging and attainable athletic goals to foster the love of sport and teach campers how to make good choices both on and off the playing field.

  • Revolution Field Hockey Camp (Ages 6-18)


    Revolution Field Hockey, a USA Field Hockey Partner Camp, is super excited to be returning to Cape Cod for the 12th summer to host the best vacation field hockey camp. The sport is exploding on the cape and kids are finding opportunities to play year-round.

    Join us this summer at Cape Cod Academy for Steel Soccer training camps. Our mission is to inspire youth to reach their potential, on and off the field, by developing them as athletes and people through the Steel Sports Coaching System.

  • Nike Soccer Camp with Liverpool FC International Academy (Ages 7-14)

    Learn how to train and play 'The Liverpool Way' this summer at the Nike Soccer Camp at Liverpool FC International Academy. The camp will be held at Cape Cod Academy. Liverpool Football Club prides itself on creating the best environment for the development of young players, both as athletes and as people. Team spirit, hard work, determination and the ability to overcome any obstacles in life and above all play with dignity and fair play.

    These camps offer a unique opportunity for aspiring soccer players ages 7-14, to train with a world-renowned club and to experience firsthand the LFC training philosophy in a FUN and engaging camp setting! Throughout the week, campers learn new skills, perfect techniques, increase game knowledge, make new friends, and have fun playing soccer!

    INFORMATION PACKET
    A detailed camper information packet containing check-in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the spring. Our health and release forms do NOT require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.
  • GameBreaker Lacrosse Camp (Ages 6-16)


    GameBreaker returns to Cape Cod in 2024 for our 12th year. Located in Osterville, MA the Cape Cod Academy lacrosse clinic has become a summer tradition.  Join us for great instruction while you're on vacation! 

    This camp is open to boys and girls ages 6-16 with a half-day option from 9-12 daily for ages 6-9.  Campers will learn individual stick skills, positional play, team concepts, and will scrimmage daily.  We also hold many fun contests during the week for great prizes.  Join us for an unforgettable week of lacrosse and fun!

  • Group Swim Lessons


    Join us this summer at Cape Cod Academy for a variety of swim programs for all ages! Dates are being added for the entire summer so check back to view a full list of dates.

    Beginners:
    Children ages six months to three years will begin in Parent/Child Swim Lesson
     
    Preschool (Ages 3-5):
    Students will have free assessment to determine which level class to join. 
     
    Kindergarten - Grade School (Ages 4-13):
    Students will be comfortable in water, learning floats on front and back, beginning stroke development of freestyle, backstroke, and progressing to side breathing. Safety treading water and swimming the length of the pool will be taught.

    Students ages six and above will work on breath control, side breathing, body position, streamlining, straight are windmills, rolling from back to stomach, sitting dives, and further stroke progression. Swim assessments will help decide level of swimming skills. As they progress, students will be introduced to alternate breathing, somersaults, flip turns, and they will complete multiple lengths of the pool with flip turns. 
  • Swim & Lunch (Ages 4-14)


    Cape Cod Academy is pleased to offer Swim & Lunch to accommodate campers for one hour (12:00 - 1:00 p.m.) while transitioning from a morning activity or camp to lunch and afternoon programs with our certified counselors. This program is for campers ages 4 -14. Campers are welcome to participate after their morning activities or prior to their afternoon sessions.

    This program will be offered Mondays through Fridays beginning on Monday, June 17, 2024 through Friday, August 18. During the July 4th holiday week, Swim & Lunch will only be held on Monday, July 1 – Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at a pro-rated fee of $45.

    10% discount for two or more family members.

    Full-week registrations for the Swim & Lunch program will be honored first. If space is available, daily drop-in registrations will be welcomed. Availability will be posted seven days prior to each session's start date. The daily drop-in fee is $25 per day.

    A typical Swim & Lunch schedule will include lunch at noon, followed by swimming. In the event of inclement weather, participants will enjoy our indoor gymnasiums and special projects; swimming may not occur.   • Private, Semi-Private, & Triple Private Swim Lessons

     
    Private, semi-private, and triple private lessons are available to schedule upon request beginning May 1, 2024. Lessons will be focused on beginner to advanced stokes and skills for those who want to learn at any age. To arrange for private lessons, please email Erin Flynn at swimming@capecodacademy.org.
  • Family Swim

    Family Swim / Grandparent Swim will be offered beginning on June 24, 2024 and will be held on Mondays and Fridays from from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The rate is $10 per person / $20 per family.
  • Lap Swimming


    Individual Lap Swimming:
    Designated lap swimming times are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. and from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The rate is $10 per person. 

    Additional lap swim hours and lanes will be listed in early June.  Lanes are often available during our group lessons and on weekend mornings additional to the lap swimming schedule posted.  

  • Pool Rental

    Great for Birthday and Family Celebrations.  Weekend hours are available for two or more hours for pool rentals. A minimum 2-hour pool rental is $200 per hour, which includes a certified lifeguard.  If there are more than 21 persons on pool deck/in pool area, an additional lifeguard will be required for $75.00 for 2 hours or $110 for 3 hours. Picnic tables and chairs will be provided.  Please email: Erin Flynn at Swimming@Capecodacademy.org. First reservations requested, first confirmed. (CCA Families receive discount for pool rentals.)

    The summer 2024 Arts and Crafts Summer Program will feature creative play in the art classroom, gymnasium, and shady spaces outdoors. The program is designed to keep kids engaged and curious about making and creating while finding inspiration from one another.
     
    The program offers a unique opportunity for kids to grow, explore, imagine, and expand their love of arts and crafts starting with drop-off at 9:15 each day. The week will be filled with many mediums and projects that are both two- and three-dimensional. The campers will fill their time painting, drawing, sculpting, marbleizing paper, printmaking, and so much more. This camp is for kids looking to be creative, play games, and make new friends while having a blast.

  • Creating Art Inspired by Nature (Ages 4-7)


    The objective of this class is for students to interact with nature using their multiple senses (including sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste) and create works of art that incorporate what they observe. Their artworks can be in any medium and can be abstract or realistic. Students will enjoy using various mediums, such as pencils, crayons, and chalk, and they will engage in painting and tempera. They will also learn the use of weaving as well as Yam and paper and natural objects. They will create a collage using paper, fabrics, and other objects. This class is taught by Jackie Burns, art teacher at Dennett Elementary School in Plymouth, MA. She is also the owner of Kreativ Painting, an art-based business.

  • Art Mindfulness Painting Studio (Ages 5-11)


    Students will experiment with a variety of art materials and mindful practices, sparking their imagination in this “play-based" art class.  Benefits include increased focus, self-expression, self-confidence, enhanced creativity, and peace of mind. Art modalities included are collage crafting, mural art, painting, drawing, and sculpting with clay.

  • Jewelry Making (Ages 5-11)


    Jewelry making is a wonderful social group activity. It also promotes creativity and cooperation among students. Students will use natural materials, such as clay, feathers, and beading to make beautiful keepsakes they can wear or gift to others.

  • Acting (Ages 5-11)


    Learn acting methods and improvisation techniques that let your child become the character. Plays and scenes are learned for performance. This acting class will also work on your child’s confidence, speaking in front of a group, and projecting to an audience. Let your child become the ham and improve his or her social skills in this wonderful class.

  • Musical Theater and Voice (Ages 6-11)


    Learn stage presence from your heart, chest, and voice. Learn how to control your voice and body together. Kids will learn songs and plays for presentation. Your Broadway-bound child will be ready after this class! Call the agent and a recital is coming.

  • Dance (Ages 6-11)


    We have classically trained dancers in all fields of dance from Ballet to Hip Hop. We also offer world dance from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Jazz and tap are also taught.  Music will be provided for various techniques. A recital for parents will be presented at the end of the class.

  • Cheerleading (Ages 6-11)


    Our cheerleading team teaches your child dance routines, new songs, new steps, cheers, voice, and crowd control. Choreography and movement will be taught. A special presentation by the students will be given to the parents on the last day of class. You will be surprised how well your child can handle direction.

    The healing properties of working with clay helps students become more aware of their feelings while having a fun sensory experience. This class will begin with a mindful theme, accompanied by a guided clay session where participants can create whatever inspires them most.

    Codemoji’s Code It program’s mission is simple: teach students to enjoy all things related to coding and the web while building problem-solving and creative thinking skills. Our teachers deliver clear and entertaining instruction to ensure students have fun while learning complex coding skills using emojis that represent HTML text, which lowers the barriers to new coders and increases their excitement and understanding of computer science. Students will build animations, websites, and video games; explore multiple coding languages; program robots; create STEM-based projects both on and offline, and are encouraged to share their projects when they get home. Students also work with interactive circuit boards to understand the basics of currents and work with their teacher to build a handful of fun hands-on projects.

    In Codemoji's Creative Coding, students will learn the basics of coding and computer science as they are immersed in STEM activities. Students will collaborate to program robots to complete tasks, work with emojis as they dive into the Codemoji platform, and participate in offline, unplugged coding activities and games. Throughout the program, students will design a website and learn to utilize their newly acquired coding skills to advance through interactive lessons. The Codemoji program will challenge your students as they advance through HTML, CSS, and JS coding basics and will promote the desire to continue their coding learning outside of the classroom.

    Does your student want to learn more about how video games work? In Game On, students will take their skills to the next level while learning about coding basics. During the week, students will be introduced to coding languages and how game animations are made while utilizing their new knowledge to create mini-games, including “Shark Eats Fish”, “Treasure Hunt”, and more!

    Welcome to the Coastal Conservation Crew! We believe that environmental education is the key to creating a sustainable future. Our camp is a fun and educational experience where kids learn the importance of maintaining a balanced ecosystem while enjoying the local Cape Cod beaches. Students will enjoy a unique experience that combines outdoor exploration with an in-the-classroom look at the diversity of the local marine life. We will discuss the impacts of human activities on these ecosystems and how we can work together to protect them. Discover the interacting ocean and animal populations. Define the role of marine organisms in the carbon cycle. Unpack how human activities affect habitats essential to maintaining the Earth's temperature. Let’s dive into action for a unique experience that enhances a love of nature that instills a sense of responsibility and respect for the environment.

    Cape Cod Academy’s Science Beach Buddies program is designed for our youngest campers to embrace the joys of the local ecosystem through developmentally appropriate, play-based activities. Children will have the opportunity to explore a variety of arts and crafts media, literature, songs, movement activities, and sensory experiences as they connect with some of the natural elements in the world around them that are unique to Cape Cod and the coast. Week 1 will focus on the history and geographical features specific to Cape Cod and the Islands; Week 2 will feature wildlife and conservation. The class instructor is Nadina Pendleton who is a licensed elementary school teacher currently working in special education in Longmeadow, MA. 
  • Science by the Sea (Grades 3-8)

     
    Cape Cod Academy’s Science by the Sea Camp is an ideal way for students in grades 3-8 to explore their enthusiasm for the natural environment that locally abounds on Cape Cod. Whether campers have been exploring these waters for years or are new to the Cape environment, this program will introduce them to the scientific aspects of salt marshes, tidal flow, sandy beaches, and rocky shorelines that are unique to Cape Cod. Our youngest biologists will be engaged with creative, active, and hands-on projects that keep their bodies and minds active both in the field and in the science laboratory on Cape Cod Academy’s beautiful campus. Middle school-aged kids will be choosing a focus question to experimentally answer by the end of the week. Campers will be transported via the school's bus to local waterways for hands-on learning.
     
    This program will be led by Abby Wood, our resident Marine Biologist and Science Faculty at Cape Cod Academy. Submerge yourself in coastal exploration this summer!

    Our Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) club focuses on the importance of these four integrations and challenges the students through several fun and engaging experiments and labs. This class also incorporates robotics and other fascinating activities which nurture hands-on learning that kids need for real-world applications. This program creates new skill sets and creativity for your child.

    Join our exciting AI course designed for students to dive into the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In this engaging program, you will learn how to interact with AI by simply talking to it and uncovering the magic behind how AI "thinks". Students will explore their creativity using AI to craft pictures and stories, discover the wide range of applications for AI, and gain the skills to use this cutting-edge technology responsibly. You will be introduced to coding by creating video games and chatbots with AI-generated content. This course will empower scholars with AI skills that are valuable today and will shape their future!

    Have you ever dreamed of creating a video game? In this course, you will dive into game development. Students will learn the fundamentals of game design, starting with HTML programming. During the course, we will use AI technology for storytelling and image creation, infusing unlimited options into game creation. We will also work on enhancing writing skills by coding trivia challenges and immersive choose-your-own-adventure games. Learners will have the opportunity to collaborate on a group game. Together, we will practice the techniques learned throughout the course to craft a game that can be shared with friends and family. You do not need any previous experience or special software; you only need your creativity and a laptop!

    Chromebooks or Laptops are required. iPads and other tablets do not work for this class.

    Interested in drawing, art, or design? In this class, you will learn how to use your doodling skills by doing design projects for local nonprofits or small businesses. You will learn how to make professional posters and art that people want to pay for, and you well ultimately design posters and ads for real organizations with good causes. Our students' work has been used in ads and online Instagram posts by the Special Olympics, Martha's Kitchen, and local shelters.
    Students will need a tablet, Chromebook, or laptops. iPads are an option but do not work as well.

    Have you ever wanted to be a hacker or learn how to code? Using the Internet, it is important to understand how hackers work, so you can stay safe from them. In this specialty class, you will learn how to “hack” through fun coding (and code-breaking) games. You will learn about the three main methods hackers use, hack-fake websites we set up, and learn how to stay safe online. Get ready to have fun breaking things!

Your child will breeze through word problems, fractions, decimals, and integers! Multiplication, addition, subtraction, and division shortcuts will be learned. Math is important and used from entrance exams to every day-to-day life skill and career. Start your child off right with proper math techniques honed and learned in this great class.

    Books will come alive in this fun, engaging class for students. We will be sharing a different interactive read-aloud suitable for this age group each day, create a fun craft, and make delicious snacks that correspond to the book we are sharing. Each day, your child will come home with a craft and snack to make the selected book come alive. We will also be sharing games and fun activities, such as reader’s theater, floral arranging, and active games. Please list any food allergies when you register your child. Materials are included as part of the course fee.
  • Cooking Around the World (Ages 4-12)


    Does your child have a passion for cooking? In this cooking class, students will discover how to prepare delicious international and American dishes safely and skillfully. They will explore diverse recipes from Africa, Asia, Europe, and North and South America, all kid-friendly and perfect for after-school cooking. During our sessions, your child will play kids' games from other countries, learn food terms from around the world, and receive simple recipes they can use at home. This course is tailored for younger students and focuses on microwave cooking. Recipes include Italian Lasagna, Ghanaian Fufu Dumplings, Japanese Rice Balls (Nigiri), Mexican Quesadilla and Salsa, American Mug Cake, Chinese Chaofan, and French Fondue.

    Have you ever wanted to start your own business or website? In this class for budding entrepreneurs, that is exactly what you will do! You will work with a classmate to come up with a simple company idea, taking it as far as it will go before the class ends. You will create a business plan, enlist friends and family, and set up everything you need to be a junior entrepreneur: A first email address, a basic app or website, and a presentation. Ultimately, you will share your idea with friends and family, work hard to get a first customer, and present your progress to the whole class. You will have a ton of fun and accomplish more than you ever have before! 

    Computers or Laptops are required.

    Cape Cod Academy's summer tutoring programs include:
