Elementary School Teacher
Cape Cod Academy, a rigorous K-12 independent day school in Osterville, MA, seeks a full-time, experienced elementary school teacher beginning the 2018-2019 school year. Flexibility, creativity and a passion for helping students become the their best individual and collective selves are some of the qualities we seek in a candidate.
Responsibilities include teaching reading, writing, humanities, and mathematics in a self-contained classroom environment as well as performing shared extracurricular duties.
Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:

- 2 years (minimum) teaching experience in a student centered learning environment
- Adept at differentiating lessons in all areas of curriculum to meet individual needs
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Experience teaching (preferably trained in) Teachers College Reading and Writing Workshop
- Experience teaching the Singapore Math program (preferred but will provide professional development for promising candidate)
- Familiarity with social/emotional learning strategies and programs, specifically Open Circle and Responsive Classroom
- Ability to work independently in the classroom, as well as a willingness to work as a member of a collaborative team to help ensure consistency across grade levels
- The ability to integrate technology effectively into classroom instruction to enhance student learning
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
