We are excited to begin our fall sports program with preseason practices starting on Monday, August 24 at 3:00 p.m. A detailed practice schedule will be sent out as we get closer to the starting date.
We want to remind all students in grades 5 and up to complete your athletic registration forms. Please log onto the Seahawk Site to complete your registration forms. The due date to register for a fall sport is Friday, August 17. Remember that no student can participate in a sport at Cape Cod Academy without an updated physical. All athletes' physicals should now be uploaded onto the Seahawk Site.
Cape Cod Academy's competitive athletic program is designed for students in grades 6-12. The school requires all middle and upper school students (grades 7 -12) to participate in two sports/extracurricular activities per year. Sixth-grade students are required to participate in one of these activities per year. Depending on the sport, fifth graders are able to participate in middle school sports.
If a student does not wish to participate in one of our activities, or decides to do performance arts, we do grant non-participation exemptions. The priority for those waivers is given to individuals who are participating in activities that our school does not offer. Examples of activities where a waiver may be granted include rigorous dance, swimming, or equestrian programs. We do not grant waivers for students getting a job in place of participating in a CCA activity or for working out alone in a gym.
Save the date: We will be holding a Meet-the-Coaches Meeting for parents on Monday, August 24 at 3:00 p.m. on Evans Field. Please plan to join us.
As always, should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Christian Sears, Director of Athletics, at
